Jerry Seinfeld recently rolled up to the White House in a 1963 Corvette Stingray to pick up President Obama because, according to the comedian, “I thought, the coolest car, American-made, for the coolest guy to ever hold this office.”

In an episode of Seinfeld’s web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, the unlikely pair palled around, each swapping jokes and singing the ride’s praise. In fact, Seinfeld’s introductory rundown of the silver blue stunner is beautiful.

“It’s got a 327-cubic-inch V8, four-barrel carb, and proper knockoff wheels. Are there faster Corvettes? Yes. Are there bigger-engine tire-melting Corvettes? Of course. Are there cooler Corvettes? I don’t think so.

"1963 is the only year with the split rear window. This car looks like a submarine, like you could drive right into the water and keep going. It’s edgy, it’s stubby, it’s perfectly proportioned with just the right amount of detail and just the right stance.”

The car honestly looks like the American Dream on wheels. If you want to see more jokes be told in some of the country’s coolest whips, the show keeps its good score of episodes on Crackle.
