In a new Vogue video, an interviewer follows Selena Gomez around the house while asking her a series of questions about her life, her family, her favorite things and her plans for the future.

The 24-year-old pop star is on the cover of the magazine’s April issue, in which she talked about her choice to share her real, authentic self with fans. “I’m not different from what I put out there. I’ve been very vulnerable with my fans, and sometimes I say things I shouldn’t. But I have to be honest with them. I feel that’s a huge part of why I’m where I am.”

Her honest, down-to-earth personality comes across as she gives straightforward answers to 73 questions in this seven-and-a-half minute video:

Among the highlights: Gomez reveals her spirit animal (“Meryl Streep”), that she has a deep love of depressing things, and that she feels most creative when she’s sad. She also shares the advice she’d give her 15-year-old self: “Go ahead and do it, because you’re gonna do it anyway.” If you like cheesy jokes, watch all the way to the end, because she reveals the worst one she’s ever heard, and it’s a doozy.

The April issue of ‘Vogue’ also features several sultry images of Gomez modeling colorful spring fashions, shot by photographer duo Mert & Marcus. See the pics here.
