Selena Gomez is one of the biggest pop stars in the world right now, which means that she’s been the subject of several tabloid rumors. And while most of the speculation involves her relationship with Justin Bieber, there are others that are far more interesting.
Last year a rumor circulated that Selena was in a relationship with model Cara Delevingne after pictures surfaced of the two of them taking a shower in their swimsuits together. If you’re thinking, “That’s pretty flimsy evidence for a relationship,” you’re right. They were never dating. But that didn’t stop the rumor from getting passed around. But that doesn’t bother Selena one bit.
In a recent interview with PrideSource, Selena was asked how she felt about the rumors she dated Delevingne, and she said she “loved it.” She didn’t mind because “they weren’t talking about other people in my life for once, which was wonderful.” We assume she’s referring to her ex-boyfriend Justin “Douche of the Year” Bieber.
Later in the interview, Selena admitted that she’s questioned her sexuality in the past. She said, “I think everybody does, no matter who they are. I do, yeah, of course. Absolutely. I think it’s healthy to gain a perspective on who you are deep down, question yourself and challenge yourself; it’s important to do that.”
Before you start sparking more Gomez-Delevingne rumors, Cara is currently in a relationship with musician Annie Clark a.k.a. St. Vincent. So there’s no chance there. However, Selena did admit who she would choose as a lesbian love interest (in the fictional world). Here’s an except from the interview:
Your friend Demi Lovato played a lesbian on “Glee,” starring as Naya Rivera’s love interest. Who would you choose as an onscreen lesbian love interest?
That’s a long list! Suki Waterhouse - she’s a model; she was Bradley Cooper’s girlfriend.
We always want the people we can’t have.
Here are some random pics of Selena and Cara:
