There’s no doubt that drones are a thing. There’s also no doubt that selfies and phone cases go together.

What if someone mashed all of those things together? Enter Selfly, the phone case-camera drone from Hagay Klein. They’ve somehow packed a drone into a tiny package that doubles as a phone case, and they’re in the process of trying to raise $125,000 on Kickstarter to make Selfly a reality.

The Selfly is a foldable drone that, when folded up, doubles as a phone case. They promise versions for both iPhone and Android. When you pop the drone out of the case and let go, it starts automatically hovering wherever you left it. You then control it via an app on the recently detached smartphone. So yeah, you can control it up above you for duckface selfies and for shots that you couldn’t otherwise get.

That’s where the camera comes in. It will include an 8-megapixel sensor and will be able to shoot 30FPS video at 1080P (full HD quality, basically). It will only weigh 70 grams and measure a thin 9mm. It also packs its own battery in that tiny case.

They even squirreled image-stabilizing tech into the drone, meaning that your video and shots will be smooth as butter. Don’t expect the folded-and-cased-in-your-pocket mode of the Selfly to be nearly as light or thin as your current case, but if drones are your thing, this could be an excellent mashup. Also, because of the size, the 650mAh battery will only allow the Selfly to fly for a total of 5 minutes between charges.

As of now, support is promised for iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 7, 7 Plus, Galaxy S6 Edge, S7 and S7 Edge and Nexus 6. The price isn’t bad, either: $100 on Kickstarter and $140 once it comes out.
