One of the great joys of watching Late Night with Seth Meyers for the last year-and-a-half has been how often Meyers is able to get his former Saturday Night Live co-stars and friends to join him for hijinks. From the interview chair to “Second Chance Theater,” this show is absolutely packed with SNL fun, and this week Meyers brought back a particular favorite.

Amy Poehler, Meyers’ former “Weekend Update” co-anchor fresh off her triumph in Pixar’s Inside Out, joined Meyers last night for a revival of their popular Update segment “Really!?! With Seth and Amy,” in which they take turns expressing extreme disbelief that someone in the news could really be that dumb. This time, the target was Sports Illustrated writer Andy Benoit, who tweeted earlier this week that women’s sports “in general” are “not worth watching.” Benoit later apologized, but it was too late for him to escape the wrath of Seth and Amy.

Poehler and Meyers have not been regular partners behind the Update desk since 2008, but they’ve still got it. If she has the time, Poehler should come back and do this once a week.
