HER NAME WAS SEXY

She’s sexy…literally Sexy. An Ohio woman has legally changed her name to “Sexy.” She always disliked her first name, Sheila. “I absolutely hate it,” she told reporters. “I think it’s really ugly.” For years, she’s avoided answering to her given name by using her middle name, but now she’s taken a more drastic action and gotten a legal name change. Sexy had to appear in front of a judge to justify changing her name. “What is your reasoning behind changing your first name to Sexy?” the judge asked her. “I feel like I’m a free-spirited person, I love to have fun and this is the last piece to make my life complete,” she said. Her husband and two teenage daughters accompanied her to court and voiced their support for their wife and mother to become Sexy. The judge granted the request and now she’s Sexy Ranea Crabtree forever. Her case has gone viral and now she’s world famous; read her whole story at Dispatch.com.AMAZING VAGINA FACTS

THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS PORN ADDICTION

Good news, everybody! A new study is showing there may be no such thing as an addiction to pornography. Clinical psychologist David Ley has released a meta-analysis examining the relevant scholarly work on “sex addiction.” He discovered only a minority of the research articles about excessive porn use describe it as an addiction, he could find no proof it changes the brain as addiction does and he could not find any evidence that porn causes erectile dysfunction. In fact, Dr. Ley claims porn might be beneficial. Find out more on the topic at DailyMail.co.uk.THE SEX LIVES OF EXTROVERTS & INTROVERTS

Are you naturally outgoing or are you the shy and retiring type? A new paper published in the journal Sexual Medicine is showing that your status as either an introvert or an extrovert could have a big effect on your sex life. Researchers gave personality tests to 50 women who were already in treatment for sexual dysfunction—those who were more introverted suffered from more severe sexual dysfunction symptoms, while the extroverted had less. They also examined how positive the women considered themselves to be and how they coped with adversity: those with happier outlooks and healthy coping mechanisms had better sex lives. That said, it’s a pretty small sampling of people and they only examined those already having problems in the bedroom, but to know more get the details at YourTango.com.PANTY BAN INSPIRES PROTEST

The mass protests in the Ukraine have been major news around the world this week, but the country of Kazakhstan has also seen the public taking to the streets. Seven women were arrested for taking part in a protest in the nation’s largest city, Almaty. And what was the issue that inspired the women to brave prison? Were they agitating for more democracy? Maybe over human rights issues? No. It was for panties. Women’s lace underwear has been banned in Kazakhstan due to health concerns (they allegedly don’t absorb enough moisture). The threat of boring, unsexy undies was enough to bring the women to the streets, some of them waving their last, precious pairs of lace undergarments in the air. Fortunately the arrested protesters were quickly released after being charged a fine for disorderly conduct. Find out more at BBC.co.uk.
