BBC’s ‘Sherlock’ Gets a Time, Date and New Trailer for Much-Anticipated Victorian Special

Sherlock, the BBC’s razor-sharp modernized adaptation of everyone’s favorite hyperlogical detective, Sherlock Holmes, is finally coming back to us—after months of speculation—with the much-anticipated special episode of “The Abominable Bride” at 9 p.m. ET on January 1, 2016.

This is a big deal to all Sherlock fans, a particularly dedicated and vocal crew, but for U.S. fans especially. The 90-minute special episode will be aired simultaneously in the U.S. and the U.K., which the BBC has never done before. Another first here is that the special takes place in Victorian London rather than present day.

If your concern is that you’re only getting an (assumedly downright delicious) appetizer, the BBC has you covered with an upcoming feast.

The game is afoot!
