There’s a reason people like the Dark Souls series. It’s not the punishing difficulty that forces players to be careful, smart, and patient to slowly develop the skills they need to defeat its ridiculous bosses—it’s the adrenaline-fueled moments of triumph when they finally emerge, victorious, from an insane boss battle as the ultimate victor.

To promote the upcoming release of Dark Souls 3, Bandai Namco recruited Silcon Valley stars Kumail Nanjiani and T.J. Miller to come check out the game with almost zero experience in the series. The result is a perfect microcosm of what the typical player will feel as they work through the game—only funnier, because this video has professional comedians in it.

While Dark Souls has grown to be pretty popular among gamers, there’s a stigma among new players that it’s too tough and too overwhelming to just jump into. In the video, Kumail proves that even new players can kick ass. It’ll just take a lot of time, and probably a huge emotional toll. When you win, though, it makes it all worth it. Probably.
