The ultimate Manhattan penthouse is no longer located in a 20 story building off Central Park. Super-tall, super-thin skyscrapers have become the ultimate trend in New York real estate, and when I mean tall, I mean tall. Jacob Ward of Al Jazeera took a trip to the top of New York’s tallest skyscraper, 433 Park, that’s currently under construction and headed by famed NYC structural engineer Sylvian Marcus. But if you’re interested in copping the coveted penthouse suite, better get $95 million ready. The super skinny skyscraper hints at the future of NYC architecture, but only for the super wealthy.
Think you could handle looking down at all of Manhattan while wondering how a 1,400 foot building stays upright? Not going to lie, my hands would be sweaty and shaking the entire time.
