Cheaters, beware. You may be sleeping on a snitch.
Durmet, a company in Spain, has created a high-tech mattress that uses hidden sensors and algorithms to detect sexual activity, allowing people to keep tabs on their partners. Dubbed the “Smarttress,” it will even send out an alert to a user’s mobile phone whenever suspected sexual activity is detected.
“If it detects suspicious activity regarding time of use, frequency, intensity or speed, it sends a notification to the phone terminal with which it is linked,” said Iván Miranda, an engineer who worked on the mattress. “You can’t imagine the tests we have done to make sure the system works correctly.”
Sure, we can.
According to The Telegraph, the cost of an average Smarttress (4 ft. 6 in. wide and 6 ft. 3 in. long) is around $1,700.
