The upcoming reboot of The Mummy is being billed as a Tom Cruise vehicle, but after watching the latest trailer, one thing is clear: This is Sofia Boutella’s movie. While the Algerian-born actress may still be an unknown entity to some, her career has been heating up since her breakout role as Gazelle, the deadly assassin with the bladed legs in 2014’s Kingsman: The Secret Service.

Here, Boutella once again shows off just how good she is at being bad, as the ancient Princess Ahmanet. After waking up from a really, really long nap, she’s grumpy as hell, and by the looks of it, Tom Cruise’s Nick Morton decided to get on her bad side.

Directed by Alex Kurtzman, The Mummy is the first installment of Universal’s planned shared monsters universe, which will eventually include standalone movies featuring updated versions of classic Hollywood like Wolf Man, the Invisible Man, Abraham van Helsing, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, and the Bride of Frankenstein. The plan is to eventually have them team up in an Avengers-style bid to save the world from unimaginable evil. And if that means more Sofia Boutella, well then we’re all in.

The Mummy hits theaters June 9. Watch the trailer above.
