Sprint has another weapon in its arsenal to recruit new customers besides the “Can you hear me now?” guy: sneakers. Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure announced in a tweet that he would reward his top salespeople in the month of December with a pair of Adidas Yeezy Boost kicks. So if a Sprint salesperson is a little extra aggressive trying to get you to switch mobile phone providers this month, now you know why.

This is the second time that Claure used Yeezys to motivate employees. In April, he gifted pairs of Yeezy Boost 350 and 750 sneakers to top performers. Claure decided to bring back the sales contest after visiting a Sprint office in Minneapolis.

In an email to Sprint employees, Claure said, “We will identify an elite group of top-performing sales reps during the month of December. The ones who deliver the greatest number of gross activations will win a pair of Yeezys.” The contest is open to sales people at Sprint-owned stores, as well as those in Radio Shack outlets and other classes of sales reps.

It’s unclear exactly which version of the popular sneaker Claure will give away this time. In the photo that accompanied his tweet, he is surrounded by pairs of "Pirate Black” Yeezy Boost 350 sneakers, but this is the same image that Claure used for his giveaway in April. For Sprint employees’ sake, hopefully Claure has a line on more recent releases of the shoe, like the Yeezy Boost 350 V2.
