The New ‘Star Wars’ Movie Will Be Screened for Astronauts on the International Space Station

The New ‘Star Wars’ Movie Will Be Screened for Astronauts on the International Space Station: The International Space Station (ISS).

The International Space Station (ISS).

If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably spent the past few days worrying about the fact that the astronauts on the International Space Station (ISS) are going to miss this Friday’s premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Well, it seems all our worrying was pointless. As the following tweet from British astronaut Tim Peake will show, those aboard the ISS won’t miss a thing.

As the AV Club points out, astronauts on the ISS were recently treated to a screening of The Martian, so this is really nothing new. Still, watching Star Wars while in outer space must be an amazing experience. It’s like watching The Hunt for Red October while on a submarine, or an Indiana Jones movie while in the actual state of Indiana. Simply fantastic.
