Taco Bell is locking down its title as overlord of the munchies with its latest creation: Cap’n Crunch Delights.
Cap'n Crunch Delights are exactly what you want them to be: warm doughnut holes filled with gooey, milk-like icing and coated with crushed Cap’n Crunch Berries cereal. A Taco Bell rep tells ABC News that the company came up with the Delights because it wants to incorporate cereal into its breakfast menu. That menu currently includes waffle tacos and Cinnabon Delights, a sweet ball that’s suspiciously similar to the Cap’n Crunch Delights.
The Cap'n Crunch balls are currently being tested at 26 chains in Bakersfield, California, and cost about 50 cents a Delight. If they are a success, and we can’t imagine they won’t be, the balls could appear at Taco Bell locations nationwide. Hopefully they will go the way Doritos Locos tacos did and expand into other iconic flavors: Peanut Butter Cap’n Crunch Delights, Chocolately Cap’n Crunch Delights, and Cool Ranch Cap’n Crunch Delights.
