It sounds like something straight out of a horror movie, but after this New Jersey family bought their $1.3 million, six bedroom dream home, they received a terrifying letter from a stalker claiming to be called ‘The Watcher’ and requesting “young blood.”
The first letter, from June 5, included more information saying The Watcher’s grandfather watched the house in the 1920s, his father watched it in the 1960s and that it was now his time. He goes on, referring to the family’s three children, stating once he learns their name he will draw them to him as he had been waiting for the day when young blood would be his again.
The Watcher also included more creepy messages including:
Have they found what is in the walls yet? In time they will. I am pleased to know your names and the names now of the young blood you have brought to me.
Will the young bloods play in the basement. Who has the rooms facing the street? I’ll know as soon as you move in. It will help me to know who is in which bedroom then I can plan better.
All the windows and door in (the house) allow me to watch you and track you as you move through the house.
I am in charge of (the house).
The family has yet to move into their home and is suing the previous owners, claiming they knew about The Watcher—since the previous owners had received a message from The Watcher several days before closing—and did not disclose the information.
Authorities in the New Jersey town are investigating the situation. No charges have been filed.
