The votes are in, and according to Influenster’s nationwide candy map, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are the most beloved Halloween candy in America. The peanut butter confection not only pulled the highest number of votes from the total 40,000 people who Influencer surveyed — it was also only one of three candies to be voted most popular by every single state in the U.S. The other two treats in question were Kit Kat and Butterfinger.

What is surprising, however, is the alleged popularity of a certain prevalent Halloween staple: candy corn. Yes, that’s right — candy corn was voted the favorite candy in the most states this year. Oregon, Wyoming, Tennessee, Texas, and South Carolina all seem to have an obsession with this top-selling sweet.

While most states have made relatively foreseeable endorsements, others are real head-scratchers. California is clearly hyped about lifesavers. But Jolly Ranchers, Nevada? Really?
