“Your wide eyes are the only light I know from extinguished constellations.”–Pablo Neruda

Although the great poet never met Brazilian model Marina Mendes, those words could have easily been written about her. It’s why Marina is the perfect choice to be a Playboy Muse. She’s the kind of woman who brings poetry to life. Check this gallery and see for yourself.

Why Anthony Weiner’s Weiner Problems Just Got Worse

Huma Abedin’s husband has a sexting problem, which is why he’ll very soon no longer be Huma’s husband. Of course, you know him better as Carlos Danger, or perhaps former Congressman and New York mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner. This week, the compulsive politician made headlines again when his latest sexts were leaked to the press.

It gets worse. Weiner sent messages that included pics of him aroused with his infant son sleeping next to him in bed. Not only is that gross, it’s possibly illegal. Weiner has confirmed that Child Welfare launched an investigation. Clearly, Weiner is a man who’s lost sight of himself. He’s lost his career, his wife, his family and his reputation. Yet nothing seems to stop him from hitting send on a pic of his dick. Why can’t Weiner stop sexting pics of his junk to strangers? What does he get from sexting that he’s willing to risk it all? Is he addicted?

Well, don’t be too quick to label him a sex addict. Not only does the rush to label him an addict ignore the multi-layered relationship a person has with sex, it oversimplifies his behavior and denies the complexity of his problem.

This week, for Just The Tips, Bridget Phetasy got personal and explored her own sometimes troubling relationship with sexting. Quick to send a dude a nude, or even a vid of her orgasming, Bridget wondered if she might be addicted to sexting and dove deep into her psyche to understand why she feels compelled to get sexy on her cellphone.

Sexting isn’t a dark thing to do. Sexting can be innocent fun. It’s also a sly way to stay connected with a partner when you’re away from them. But don’t trip if you don’t enjoy it, and don’t worry if you like it a lot. Truth is, lots of us love to sext—so many that a sex toy maker now offers a vibrator modeled after the suggestive eggplant emoji. Have fun with your sexting, but never forget the risk: no one is immune to a leak.

Lots of you wondered what it meant when news spread that Hef was selling the Playboy Mansion. Well, the deal is done, the mansion is off the market…and nothing has changed. Playboy Advisor: How Can A Couple Become a Throuple?

Group sex is growing more popular with every passing day. Burning Man went down in Black Rock City this week and one can only imagine how many dust-covered bodies got twisted in tents or rocked the suspension of a camper. (Some of the burners even got busy in public orgies, like in this giant orgy dome.)

That’s the thing: group sex is no longer just for the wild and the bold. These days even committed couples are wondering how they can enjoy another body in bed. In the September issue of the magazine, the Playboy Advisor offers some handy advice on how a couple can become a throuple, which you can catch up on here.

The Science of Sex

Can Sex Cure A Hangover?

Every so often a new story comes along that highlights how dangerous sex can be. It might be a story about a guy snapping his penis. Or maybe it’s an MMA dude who pops his pecker in bed. Or, perhaps, it’s even crazier, like the news that came out this week about how a teenager died after receiving a hickey.

Yes! A death hickey! That is some serious sucking. But what about when sex isn’t the problem but instead the cure? One female writer wondered exactly that, so she got drunk and tested a theory that sex could cure a hangover. What do you think she discovered during her scientifically problematic one-woman study? And one Sunday morning, which you would prefer when devoid of all motor skills: morning sex, or some hair of the dog at brunch?

Sex and Relationships

A Woman Had Sex with her Husband Every Day for a Year. So, How Did That Go?

How much sex is enough? How much is too much? How much sex are your friends having? How much sex did you used to have when you first started dating versus now that you’re married?

The questions never end when it comes to the quantity of sex we enjoy, but as with most things, it’s quality, not quantity, that matters. That’s exactly what this writer found out after she and her husband had sex every day for a year. She was inspired after hearing some friends say they had sex every night without fail. Since they’re one of the most loving couples the writer knows, she decided to try 365 days of going at it with her husband. At first, the schedule was difficult to keep up with. But soon enough she found that sex every day changed her view of herself, her partner and her engagement with life. The practice made her more confident, more aware and more caring. Maybe you and your partner should give it a try? Remember, you can start a year whenever you want—like tonight.
