This Week in Sex: Sex Regrets, Breast Inventions:

A new study in the academic journal Archives of Sexual Behavior looking at the sexual regrets of college students found interesting differences in regrets between the sexes. The women’s sexual misgivings were mostly about things they did—sleeping with the wrong person, cheating or getting physical too soon in a relationship—while the men’s sexual remorse was mostly about things they didn’t do—not being more sexually adventurous, being too shy to make a pass and not sleeping around more when single. Sex writer Amanda Hess writes about the study, and gives her two cents on the researchers’ conclusions that the results are all due to evolutionary psychology, at Slate.com.

It’s safe to say that for the last few decades, pubic hair has been on the outs. The trend among many women (and many men) has been to trim, shave, wax, pluck and otherwise style their hair down there. But a recent survey might be indicating that the full bush is back. A poll querying 1,870 women on the grooming habits of their intimate regions revealed that 51 percent of them leave their gardens untended. Reasons given range from “can no longer be bothered to keep up the grooming" to “my partner prefers the natural look." Get the full scoop at Jezebel.com.

The National Survey of Sexual Attitudes and Lifestyles—an exhaustive two-year study of the sexual habits of Brits—has garnered much in the way of interesting information, including the fact that women sleeping with women is up 400 percent! In a previous iteration of the national survey in 1990, 1.8 percent of women reported having some kind of lesbian encounter, while the new survey has the number at almost eight percent. These numbers take in sexual experimentation and bisexuality as well as those women that identify as lesbians. Find out more and see more results of the survey on BusinessInsider.com.

It’s thought that pheromones, hormones secreted in our sweat, play a role in sexual attraction, and a singles dating event in Houston, Texas is putting that theory to the test by asking the attendees to bring some worn clothes so that prospective dates can whiff them, the idea being that if the scent is a turn-on it could indicate a potential match.
