Somebody buy Tinder CEO Sean Rad a dictionary (or better yet, a dictionary app).

During an interview with the Evening Standard, Rad made some ridiculous comments while talking about his love life. After saying he likes a woman who is an “intellectual challenge,” he went on to say:

Apparently there’s a term for someone who gets turned on by intellectual stuff. You know, just talking. What’s the word?” His face creases the effort of trying to remember. “I want to say ‘sodomy’?

Depending on your definition, that’s really more of a Grindr thing.

Rosette Pambakian, Tinder’s vice-president of communications and branding, was sitting next to Rad when he made the comments and was less than pleased.

“That’s it! We’re going to be fired,” she said.

“What? Why?” replied Rad.

At this point, the interviewer (Charlotte Edwardes) stepped in and told him he used the wrong word, which caused Rad to look up sodomy’s definition on his phone.

“What? No, not that,” Rad said. “That’s definitely not me. Oh, my God.”

While it was never determined what word Rad was trying to use, the closest thing I could find was sapiosexual, which means someone who is "attracted to intelligence or the human mind.” But I’m going to spend the night doing sodomy related Google searches, just to be sure.

For more insane quotes from Rad, check out the entire interview.
