The favorite topic of conversation among people who live in New York City is how much it costs to live in New York City. You know real estate prices are crazy when folks refer to a 500 sq ft studio for $1.5 million as a deal. There is hope though, as long as you don’t mind sharing a space with some turtles who love martial arts…and pizza.
To promote the new movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows, Paramount and Nickelodeon have listed a Turtle Lair on Airbnb. The three-bedroom apartment sleeps six and is located in the prime neighborhood of Tribeca and only costs $10/night, which you’ll get reimbursed for at the end of your stay.
The apartment is the perfect place to “order up a pie, shoot some hoops & chill with your squad.” It has a glow-in-the-dark basketball court and a retro video game arcade. There is even an entire closet filled with nunchucks. Perhaps the best perk of staying in the space is that you get free pizza delivery. Sweet, sweet pizza.
However, don’t plan on getting wasted and throwing a rager. In the House Rules, the host Leonardo says, “We say no to drugs and alcohol, so none of that in the Lair” and “We have neighbors too so keep it chill…try not to bring the ruckus!”
