As a man who can barely string 300 words together without making a grammatical error, I feel bad criticizing a show like True Detective. I can’t even imagine the time, talent and effort that went into making it.

But at the end of the day, a turd’s a turd, and True Detective’s second season was just plain bad.

That said, Reddit user detectiverogers caught something a lot of people missed. In the third episode of the season, when Ray Velcoro hallucinates after being shot, he receives a premonition of his own death.

Pretty neat… I guess. Of course, it still doesn’t explain the convoluted plot, but luckily there’s a video for that.
