Ken Shamrock and Kimbo Slice fought each other on Friday at Bellator 138, and it wasn’t very pretty. Shamrock was once one of the best MMA fighters in the world, but he’s now 51-years-old and hasn’t won a UFC fight in over a decade. Kimbo Slice, on the other hand, is a street fighter who garnered a ton of internet fame, but once he entered the UFC people realized he actually wasn’t ready to fight any of the organization’s top talent. And he’s 41-years-old.
So two guys with a combined age of 92 years fought each other, and if that sounds like an underwhelming contest, it is. Shamrock looked old and tired, while Slice looked like a guy who doesn’t have any MMA skills outside of being able to punch really hard. Still, the fight ended with one of the guys getting a KO, so it wasn’t entirely bad.
Ok, it was still pretty rough to watch. But at least it ended in a KO, which is more than Mayweather-Pacquiao delivered.
