Under Armour has been making big moves of late. The company passed Adidas in footwear and apparel sales to become the second-largest sports brand in the United States behind Nike. Supermodel Gisele Bundchen dropped an ad that makes you wonder if she isn’t the best person to protect husband Tom Brady on the offensive line. And while Under Armour’s bid for Kevin Durant was ultimately rebuffed when the NBA MVP opted to stay with Nike, UA showed the sports world that it is willing to put up big bucks for the world’s best athletes and teams.
One part of Under Armour’s growth has been expanding into new categories. Its new performance chino is an example of that. The pants have room in the thighs and then taper down below the knee for a slim fit that doesn’t force you to waddle like a penguin when you walk. With a four-way stretch fabric that wicks away sweat and has anti-odor technology, these are ideal pants for bike commuters.
They also work pretty good for playing pool and bowling as stylish Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Jennings showed in this video for the Performance Chino:
The Under Armour Performance Chinos cost $79.99 and are available at underarmour.com.
