To quote Madonna (something I’m not particularly fond of), “We are living in a material world.” To help you figure out which of the millions of material goods swirling around us is worth spending your hard-earned cash on, we have put together The Want List, consisting of the items we really love this week.

AIR JORDAN XXX
It’s hard to believe that the Air Jordan is 30 years old. As iconic as the Air Jordan I continues to be, basketball shoes have come a long way since then and the 30th iteration of Michael Jordan’s signature sneaker reflects that. The sneaker doesn’t jump out at you, instead it features subtle, distinguished touches. Designed by Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith, the upper is a combination of knit and woven materials to create a durable but comfortable fit that has the Jumpman logo cleverly integrated into the toe. On the outsole, the traction pattern is a 3D rendering of Jordan’s quote “Excellence is never second place.”
PORSCHE DESIGN 911 SOUNDBAR
For any true gearhead, the sound of a car matters almost as much as the look and engineering. And the sound of a Porsche 911 GT3 is music to any car guy’s ears. Now it can be music to everyone else’s ears as well. Porsche Design has integrated the rear silencer and twin exhaust from a 911 GT3 into a 200-watt surround sound Bluetooth speaker that is perfect for playing songs or, if you’re really far down the rabbit hole, the audio of cars revving.
When you think of Nas, a few things come to mind. Of course Illmatic is on the list, but so is the famous half moon part in his hair. These days, Nas’s barber is using the new trimmer from Tristan Walker’s Bevel to shape up the rapper’s dome. The Bevel trimmer is also great for any guy who cuts his own hair. It moves at 6,000 strokes per minute and operates wirelessly without sacrificing any cutting power. Equally impressive is the fact that it can hold a charge for 60 days and has a blade that can be precisely adjusted and repels oil and residue.
