To quote Madonna (something I’m not particularly fond of), “We are living in a material world.” To help you figure out which of the millions of material goods swirling around us is worth spending your hard-earned cash on, we have put together The Want List, consisting of the items we really love this week.
MAJOR DC X REEBOK QUESTION
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Allen Iverson’s first signature Reebok sneaker, the Question. To celebrate, Reebok linked up with Washington, D.C. sneaker boutique Major to create a version inspired by Iverson’s alma mater, Georgetown. The kente cloth pattern on the Hoyas jerseys during A.I.’s time is used on the upper and the sockliners feature images of the university’s clock tower and the Capitol building. The sneakers will drop March 18.
LAZARETH LM 847
Price unavailable, lazareth.fr
In name, this is a motorcycle. In truth, it’s a freakish hybrid of pure power. French motorcycle builder Lazareth attached a 4.8-liter Maserati V8 engine to a carbon fiber frame and the result is 470 horsepower of open-air craziness. The engine is so big that the motorcycle requires four wheels to stand it up.
BLUE BOTTLE COLD BREW CAN
For many, warmer spring temperatures signal a shift from hot coffee to cold brew, so renowned roaster Blue Bottle is making it easier to get your caffeine fix with a new 8-ounce cold brew in a can. The company previously made New Orleans-style cold brew in those cardboard milk containers you remember from elementary school. That version was a little sweeter, whereas this iteration is more for pure coffee lovers.
TOPO DESIGNS MOUNTAIN MESSENGER BAG
Topo Designs out of Colorado is known for making great backpacks with a retro appeal and modern functionality that work as great on a hike as they do on a morning commute. Its last collection comes just in time for spring with this Hawaii-inspired floral pocket sweatshirt. Featuring a soft cotton fleece, this will be a go-to for every summer BBQ.
