To quote Madonna (something I’m not particularly fond of), “We are living in a material world.” To help you figure out which of the millions of material goods swirling around us is worth spending your hard-earned cash on, we have put together The Want List, consisting of the items we really love this week.

CHEVROLET CAMARO ZL1
Price unavailable, chevrolet.com
There was a time when the Camaro was kind of a joke. It owed less to the car itself and more to the drivers who tended to be meatheads in Zubaz pants. Forget all that. The 2017 Camaro ZL1 is 640 horsepower of awesomeness. It has a 6.2-liter V8, a 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, and looks like it is ready to take flight.

Ever since Back To The Future 2, we’ve been waiting for self-lacing sneakers and now they’re closer than ever. Nike just debuted a prototype of the Hyperadapt 1.0. When you insert your foot into the shoe, your heel activates a sensor which automatically tightens the laces. You can then make microadjustments to tighten or loosen the sneakers with buttons on the side.

ROLEX COSMOGRAPH DAYTONA
$12,192, rolex.com
The steel Rolex Daytona is one of the most beloved timepieces ever created. There are entire watch cults devoted to the “Paul Newman” edition that the actor wore. At Baselworld, Rolex revealed an updated Cosmograph Daytona. The new watch has a sleek black ceramic bezel reminiscent of a model from 1965. The updated material is scratch resistant and won’t fade over time so this Daytona will still look sharp 50 years from now.
