To quote Madonna (something I’m not particularly fond of), “We are living in a material world.” To help you figure out which of the millions of material goods swirling around us is worth spending your hard-earned cash on, we have put together The Want List, consisting of the items we really love this week.
Putting stickers on your laptop personalizes your personal computer, but it’s so permanent. What happens when you grow to hate that band who’s sticker is front and center for everyone in the coffee shop to see? The Brik Case is basically a flat Lego board that clips easily to MacBook Pros and Airs. Then you can customize that board with any Lego or other toy bricks you want. Once you’re bored with a design, just change it.
ORPHAN BARREL FORGED OAK BOURBON
Orphan Barrel finds rare whiskeys that had been forgotten in distilleries and brings them back to life. Its fifth edition is the Forged Oak straight bourbon that was produced at the Bernheim distillery in the late 1990s before being discovered at the Stitzel-Weller warehouses in Louisville. It has notes of cedar, maple, and vanilla and finishes with a black pepper flavor.
BRATHWAIT SLIM WATCH
A chunky dive watch is great, but sometimes a sleeker timepiece is called for. This Brathwait is just 1.9 millimeters thick and has an elegant, minimalist dial that looks great with formal outfits like a suit or blazer. You can get it with a leather strap, but we’re partial to this navy blue fabric version.

The idea of action figures for a show about nothing is a little strange, but who cares? There’s a Puddy vinyl figure in an 8-ball jacket for chrissakes. Vinyl Sugar is releasing six characters from the show (Jerry and Elaine are notably absent) including Kramer, Newman and J. Peterman.
J. CREW x BIRDWELL BOARD SHORTS
BIrdwell has been making its “beach britches” since 1961, long before there was such a term as board shorts. Not much has changed in the classic design of the trunks since then for good reason. J.Crew partnered with Birdwell on a collection of shorts in custom colorways that are just as timeless as the originals.
