To quote Madonna (something I’m not particularly fond of), “We are living in a material world.” To help you figure out which of the millions of material goods swirling around us is worth spending your hard-earned cash on, we have put together The Want List, consisting of the items we really love this week.
YETI HOPPER FLIP
Yeti makes the best coolers, and it isn’t really a close game. They’re overbuilt to keep whatever is inside obscenely cold. The Flip is the latest edition to the soft-sided Hopper line. The cube design perfectly fits a 12-pack and prevents things from moving around too much. Like all Yeti products, the Flip is leakproof, puncture-resistant, and keeps contents cold for days—not hours.
DUCATI 1299 PANIGALE S ANNIVERSARIO
Price unavailable, ducati.com
This year marks Ducati’s 90th birthday. To celebrate, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer is giving riders a present in the form of this limited edition 1299 Panigale S Anniversario. Only 500 of the bikes will be produced, and while they share the same 1,255-cc V-Twin as the existing 1299 Panigale, there are multiple upgrades, starting with the red, white, and black paint job and gold wheels that fans of Ducati’s racing teams will instantly recognize. There is also a titanium exhaust and a new traction control system that allows riders to drift without crashing.
Because man should never be without pizza, BioLite figured out a way to turn its camp stove into a wood-fired pizza oven. The dome features an integrated thermometer so you can monitor the temperature and also comes with a ceramic stone to give pizza the crispy crust that separates great pizza from good pizza. You will be the hero of every campsite if you show up with this thing.
DUKE CANNON AMERICAN SOAP AND HATCHET SET
There isn’t necessarily a good reason for a container of grooming supplies to come with an axe, but we’re not mad at it. Duke Cannon’s kit comes with hickory-handled hatchet that is made in the U.S. and a steel bottle opener. There are also two of the brand’s Big Ass Bricks Of Soap, which live up to their name, two other types of soap, a hand lotion, and a lip balm. All of it is packaged in an actual can of military ammunition. It’s about as badass as anything that makes you smell nice can be.
CARHARTT WIP X PELAGO FREEWAY YOUR MIND BICYCLE
The Carhartt-WIP skate team was on a trip to Finland when they met the crew behind Helsinki bike brand Pelago. After breathing new life into an abandoned frame, the two brands decided to collaborate more formally on the Freeway Your Mind bike. The bike has a chromoly steel frame with a textured mint-green paint job. It is equipped with disc brakes for substantial stopping power and has a front rack that’s easy to bungee your stuff to.
