To quote Madonna (something I’m not particularly fond of), “We are living in a material world.” To help you figure out which of the millions of material goods swirling around us is worth spending your hard-earned cash on, we have put together The Want List, consisting of the items we really love this week.
BURTON X PLAYBOY MITT
Make sure your hands feel toasty warm and look super cool with Playboy’s most recent collaboration with Burton. The leather mittens feature a bandana-inspired print that is accentuated with the Playboy Bunny logo. While they are built to withstand the rigors of a day riding on the mountain, they also look just as sharp off the hill. And conductive technology in the thumbs allows you to use your phone without having to take the mittens off.
MERCEDES-MAYBACH S650 CABRIOLET
Price unavailable, mbusa.com
When most people think of Maybachs, they think of cars that you get chauffeured around in, but the latest model from Mercedes-Maybach is one you definitely want to be in the driver’s seat of. The convertible S650 will be limited to just 300 units, only 75 of which are destined for American soil. Building off of the Mercedes S-class cabriolet, the Maybach version has a sleek mesh grill and 20-inch wheels. There are no shortage of luxury appointments on the interior, whose trim is inspired by yachts. While the price was not revealed, it does come with a set of luggage finished in the same leather as the seats, so you can feel like you’re still getting a deal.
AIR JORDAN XI “SPACE JAM”
It’s been 20 years since Space Jam first came out in theaters, which means you’re old. But coping with that fact just got a little easier because Nike announced its re-releasing the Air Jordan XIs that Michael Jordan wore in the movie on December 10. The XI has a secure place on the Mt. Rushmore of Air Jordan models, and it looks especially sharp in the black and purple colorway of the “Space Jams.” This edition features “45” on the heel, because that’s the jersey number Jordan wore when he came back to the NBA after retiring to play baseball.
DDUGOFF ALBERT QUILT
Winter is coming, which means you’re about to spend even more time “Netflix and chilling” so it’s in your best interest to be cozy in style. New York menswear brand Ddugoff linked up with a quilter in Atlanta to create these custom made blankets. Each one is made-to-order and features a unique pattern of different shirt and suit fabrics such as flannel, oxford cloth, cashmere, and silk. The quilt is so enticing you might not emerge from underneath it until spring.
