To quote Madonna (something I’m not particularly fond of), “We are living in a material world.” To help you figure out which of the millions of material goods swirling around us is worth spending your hard-earned cash on, we have put together The Want List, consisting of the items we really love this week.
HERMAN MILLER x 3SIXTEEN EAMES LOUNGE CHAIR
Price unavailable, 3sixteen.com
Vegetable-tanned leather is definitely having a moment. The leather, which begins its life with a light tan color that darkens and takes on character over time, has been incorporated in everything from wallets to Air Jordans. Now it is being used in the iconic Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman. 3Sixteen, which is known for its denim, worked with furniture manufacturer Herman Miller on the design, incorporating vegetable-tanned leather into the upholstery and finishing the plywood shell with a veneer that mimics Brazilian rosewood. Only three sets will be made and they will never be reproduced.
AMPLE HILLS STAR WARS ICE CREAM
We are into single-digit days before Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in theaters and there are still awesome collaborations dropping. After Disney CEO Bob Iger tried the ice cream from Brooklyn-based Ample Hills Creamery, he became a fan and mentor to the company’s founder. That led to the creation of this ice cream pack, consisting of two pints each of The Light Side and The Dark Side flavors. The Light Side is a marshmallow ice cream with cocoa crispies sprinkled through to represent the lurking dark side. The Dark Side is dark chocolate with white chocolate pearls to signify the light side trying to burst through.
ADIDAS NMD RUNNER PRIMEKNIT
Adidas combined the past and the future with its latest silhouette. The NMD Runner Primeknit blends design elements from 1980s-era sneakers, such as the Micro Pacer, with Adidas’s latest technologies such as a Primeknit upper and Boost cushioning. The result is a sneaker that is ridiculously comfortable on your feet while still maintaining a retro vibe.

From $2,187,420, bugatti.com
Bugatti supercars can do a lot of things. The forthcoming Chiron is said to have a 1,500-horsepower engine and a top speed of 288 miles per hour. One thing the Chiron can’t do is drive on water. But don’t worry, Bugatti has you covered for aquatic adventures, too. The automaker and yacht builder Palmer Johnson created a series of three yachts, ranging in length from 42 to 88 feet. Named the Niniette, the hull is constructed from titanium and carbon fiber while the deck features a combination of luxurious woods.
TSOVET x FRED SEGAL LAX SVT-CN38 WATCH
A great watch doesn’t have to have bunch of complications and be encrusted with jewels. Sometimes, the simplest designs are the best, and this SVT-CN38 from Tsovet and Los Angeles boutique Fred Segal is proof. The timepiece features Tsovet’s clean and minimal designs rendered in Fred Segal’s red-and-blue color palette. The hour and minute hands as well as the markings on the dial are done in a bright blue, while the red second hand offers a refreshing color pop. Limited to 50 pieces, the watch comes with a navy nylon strap and a tan leather one.
