The Want List: 5 Things We’re Coveting This Week: Sony

Sony

To quote Madonna (something I’m not particularly fond of), “We are living in a material world.” To help you figure out which of the millions of material goods swirling around us is worth spending your hard-earned cash on, we have put together The Want List, consisting of the items we really love this week.

The Macallan Mario Testino Edition Scotch
$3,500, themacallan.com
As part of The Macallan’s “Masters of Photography” series, the scotch company partnered with Mario Testino, the lensman behind that amazing Kate Moss book. The scotch has been aged in six casks, hand-selected for their character and flavor. Each bottle comes with one of four Testino photographs and is packaged in a lacquer box with a secret compartment.

Sony PlayStation 4 20th Anniversary Edition
$615, playstation.com
It’s hard to believe that we’ve been mashing away at DualShock controllers for 20 years. To celebrate the release of the original PlayStation in 1994, Sony put out a limited-edition PS4 in the gray color that will be instantly familiar to former PlayStation 1 owners. The 12,300 consoles quickly sold out and are now going for five figures on eBay.

DOOM x Clarks Wallabee
$175, clarksusa.com
The Clarks Wallabee has a storied past in hip-hop. When you get dropped into a Ghostface Killah verse, you know you’ve made it. Now Clarks has linked up with legendary underground rapper DOOM on a pair of the suede kicks. The DOOM x Clarks Wallabees come in blue suede with orange laces (a nod to the Knicks and Mets) and feature DOOM’s mask logo on the heel and lining.

Keyboard Waffle Iron
$60, kickstarter.com
At first glance, it’s easy to look at this Keyboard Waffle Iron and think, “Oh, that’s kinda clever.” But appreciating this waffle maker for its novelty misses the larger point: LARGER WAFFLES. Look at the size of that thing. Whether it looked like a Qwerty keyboard or not, I’d still want one because it delivers increased waffle goodness.

Yeti Hopper 30
$299, yeticoolers.com
Forget those styrofoam coolers you pick up at the deli that break the second you try to pick them up. Yeti coolers are prized by everyone from fisherman to tailgaters because their products are indestructible, keep things cold, and don’t leak. Their soft-side cooler is no different and is easy to take with you wherever you need a cold one.
