Watch an 80-Person Choir Sing ‘Skyrim’ Music

Those songs that bards play in the taverns of Skyrim sound pretty amazing when you add 80 other voices to the mix.

Those voices in the video above are provided by Swedish choir Orphei Drängar, with singer Myrra Malmberg taking the lead, to perform The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s song “Age of Oppression.” You might remember the politically oriented tune popping up in the various inns of Skyrim as many of its native nords complain about the rule of the Aldmeri Dominion. It’s a pretty song about going to war against a foreign occupying force.

The track and a bunch more are a part of The Greatest Video Game Music: Choral Edition, which is itself a sequel to a couple other compilations of great game songs, played by orchestras. They’re usually a little less about running out and dying for your country, though. You can find the rest of the album on iTunes and Spotify.
