Daniel Craig’s been on a press tour to promote his new James Bond film, Spectre, for weeks now, and for much of it he’s seemed a little over the whole 007 thing, so it’s encouraging to see that he’s still capable of having at least a little fun with the gig. Last night on The Late Show, host Stephen Colbert confronted Craig about Bond’s inability to keep literally any car he drives intact for the length of a film, and Craig responded that Spectre actually addresses this problem. The pair then launched into a “clip” from the movie in which Craig’s Bond tries to rent a car from Colbert, only to discover that his history with destroying every car he sits in is a bit of a problem. Maybe next time a Bond movie comes out, Colbert can come up with a humorous take on Bond’s rampant alcoholism.

Spectre is in theaters Friday.
