Game of Thrones (a.k.a., the biggest show on cable that’s not The Walking Dead) returns Sunday for its fifth season on HBO, and the show’s cast has been making the rounds on every talk show in the realm to promote it. Among them is Kit Harington, who plays the dreamy, angst-ridden Jon Snow, and last night on Late Night with Seth Meyers he opted to do more than just a little talk show chit chat.

In his full Night’s Watch costume, complete with fur cape and sword, Harrington assumed the Jon Snow role and attended a dinner party as Meyers’ guest. Everyone else at the party wants to sip wine and talk about the arrival of spring in New York, but Snow wants to talk about White Walkers, beheadings, and that time his girlfriend was slaughtered by a child. Eventually he sucks so much oxygen out of the room that Meyers has to take him aside and explain that small talk doesn’t include lines like “My brother was stabbed to death at his own wedding” and “conditions so harsh and cold it’ll make your little prick fall off.”

Snow eventually fits in by putting on a glorious re-enactment of the entire Game of Thrones story, but even when he’s won the room over he doesn’t really pass as your average trendy New Yorker … well, except for the Crossfit.
