In Destiny, the toughest missions are called raids. The game’s latest and largest expansion, “The Taken King,” added a new one: King’s Fall. It requires teams of six players to tackle increasingly complex and difficult challenges, often over the course of several hours, requiring near-perfect precision and teamwork. And it’s a ton of fun.
But “fun” isn’t the only reason players team up to tackle King’s Fall and the game’s other raids. These missions are also where players get the best loot—guns, armor and more—in the game. And my favorite weapon I’ve received from beating King’s Fall so far is called Doom of Chelchis.
It’s a legendary scout rifle whose perks and stats are somewhat randomized, meaning many players receive slightly different versions. Mine dropped with 310 attack—the current max in the game—and, more importantly, the “full auto” perk, which means it keeps shooting as long as I hold the trigger down (rather than requiring individual trigger pulls for every shot).
When I got my Doom of Chelchis (or, as I affectionately refer to it, my “Dab of Chutney”), I knew it was going to shred in the Crucible, Destiny’s competitive multiplayer mode. And what do you know? It does. Since not many players have managed to beat King’s Fall yet—much less get the perfect gun like I did—I made the video above to show off what it can do.
