What's on:Million Dollar Listing What day: Mon 12/7 What time: 10 p.m. What channel: Bravo Why you should watch: The guys on this reality show really rankle us, but we still find it entertaining to watch because we enjoy marveling at their astounding displays of douchey-ness, and because we like getting an inside peek at the mind-blowing homes of Hollywood’s rich elite. Tonight, the Jonas Brothers of real estate wrap up the third season of Million Dollar Listing by—big shocker here—being whiny little punks. The one with the hair obsession (Chad) continues to try to win back his too-hot-for-him girlfriend, and the Justin Timberlake wannabe (Josh) has a minor scuffle with a contractor over a Beverly Hills home he plans to raze. Then, the three musketeers come together to bicker over who can be more giving at a charity function. How...charitable of them.
What's on:Scrubs What day: Tues 12/8 What time: 10 p.m. What channel: ABC Why you should watch: A new cast of characters swoops into Sacred Heart as the tables are turned: J.D. and Turk are now professors with their own crew of interns at the hospital. The new season will take place a year after where the last season left off, with J.D. married to a pregnant Elliot. Tonight, J.D. and one of his new interns, Drew, work on their mentoring relationship and find that the student can sometimes teach the teacher.
What's on:Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura What day: Weds 12/9 What time: 10 p.m. What channel: TruTV Why you should watch: Jesse Ventura is widely known as the pro wrestler-turned-politician, who also happens to love conspiracy theories. So the logical thing to do would be to give this man his own show. On TruTV, Ventura and a crew of investigators debate conspiracy theories about HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program, a.k.a. mind control via radiowaves), global warming, manchurian candidates and the 2012 apocalypse. Tonight, at the behest of September 11 attack survivors, he says, Ventura explores the conspiracy theories that the attacks were an inside job and challenges the controversial 9/11 Commission Report.
What's on:30 Rock What day: Thurs 12/10 What time: 9:30 p.m. What channel: NBC Why you should watch: This crew is already bonkers the majority of the time, but they manage to kick the crazy into overdrive around the holiday season (as evidenced by this clip from the Christmas episode from last year). Things have been tense around the TGS offices since a new actor arrived and royally pissed off both Liz and Jenna. Tonight, Jenna gets even more miffed when she learns she has to share her holiday solo on the show, poor old Kenneth futilely tries to arrange a gift swap and Liz struggles to pick out a present for Jack, who is, of course, a picky guy. Also, Jack comes across a former flame, played by Julianne Moore, via a social networking site. Hmmm, wonder how this one will turn out.
What’s on: Live at Gotham What day: Fri 12/11 What time: 11 p.m. What channel: Comedy Central Why you should watch: Our guess is that if you’re sitting around watching TV this late on a Friday night, you’re either drunk, lonely, or both. So you might as well let this stand-up comedy show keep you cracking up into the wee hours. Jim Jeffries hosts this season finale episode featuring comedians Dan Soder, Glenn Wool, Jay Phillips, Tim Harmston and several other equally funny people.
What’s on:30 for 30: “The U” What day: Sat 12/12 What time: 9 p.m. What channel: ESPN Why you should watch: If you think Remember The Titans was a tear-jerker, just wait until you hear about the University of Miami Hurricanes and how they helped get a city torn apart by drug wars and racial tension back on its feet. Miami native Billy Corben directs this documentary about how a mediocre college football team turned high profile and changed a city’s landscape for the better, producing some of football’s greatest players like Warren Sapp and Vinny Testaverde. By the end you’ll definitely “have something in your eye.”
What’s on: Dexter What day: Sun 12/13 What time: 9 p.m. What channel: Showtime Why you should watch: After this season finale, Dexter fans will feel like they’ve seen it all. Police are narrowing in on the Trinity Killer, who warns Dexter to stay away from him. But, given the nature of our favorite serial killer, he won’t take the safe route. Meanwhile Deb is snooping around where she doesn’t belong (per the usual) and stumbles onto something she wished she hadn’t. We guarantee you’ll be “holy shit!”-ing yourself throughout the whole episode.
