Vacheron Constantin, “the oldest manufacturer of fine watches,” has gone one step, or maybe a dozen steps, beyond with The Reference 57260. It’s a unique luxury watch that the company claims is the most complicated watch in the world, estimating its value at $10 million

The watch’s creation process certainly reflects that, having taken eight years for three specialists to make from 2,826 different parts. It’s stunning in appearance and jaw-dropping in its assembly, but it’s not actually for sale. The Reference 57260 was a commission for a private collector.
