PB: Is it just totally bizarre that a couple of years ago you were playing poker with your buddies and now you're playing with Spider-Man?

CM: Oh, it's insane. I was just a normal little accountant back home playing with my friends and the next thing I know I could probably get a game with just about anybody I wanted who plays.

PB: Here's a real Playboy question. Who would you most want to play a game of strip poker with?

CM: If I don't say my girlfriend I'll be in trouble. No, I won't say that. Oh, there are so many. I've always had a thing for Jennifer Aniston.

PB: Well, she's available now.

CM: I heard that. Denise Richards wouldn't be bad either. I saw her in Playboy.

PB: What are the one or two traits it takes to be a really good poker player?

CM: Patience. But the biggest thing is what you're doing when you're losing. Anybody can have fun when they're winning, but it's how you handle the losses that really makes you a good poker player, because there are going to be losses. It can send you off the deep end or you can just put it behind you and move on.

PB: You're a spokesman for Pokerstars.com, an online poker site. Do you play on the site?

CM: I play on the site pretty regularly, usually three or four days a week.

PB: Is it more or less enjoyable playing online or is it a totally different experience?

CM: It's a totally different experience. The thing I like about playing online is I can do it for an hour to two hours, make my money and be done for the day.

PB: So you can go online, make some money and stop.

CM: I try to go on and make a couple hundred dollars a day and then be done.

PB: Online, can you immediately sense you are playing against people you can beat?

CM: I play on a level that most people wouldn't think I would play on. I play on a very low level for a World Champion, just because I know I can beat them. I'm playing average players probably, and I just know every day I go in and sit down I'm going to make my money and be done.

PB: And you don't feel bad about that?

CM: They're sitting down and playing. I mean somebody's got to take their money, and it might as well be me.

PB: Many people say that because gambling has become so high profile that it is contributing to an increase in gambling addiction. What do you think about that?

CM: I think it's completely bogus. I don't have any sympathy for anybody with any kind of gambling problem. That's just the way I feel. I quit smoking cold turkey. I quit caffeine cold turkey. I thought I was drinking too much so I quit drinking for two weeks cold turkey. If you have any kind of self-discipline you can control yourself.

PB: What would your advice be to someone if they think they have a gambling problem?

CM: Quit. If you don't want to do it, quit. I mean, shit, find something else to do during the day. I think I used to be addicted to sports gambling.... [Now] I won't put myself in a situation where I want to do it and I just do other things.

PB: Everyone says your story is perfect for a movie. Is it being made into a movie, and who would you like to play you?

CM: It is going to be a movie. I don't know who is going to play me yet. Tobey would be a good one. He seems like he has the same mentality. I mean, at the table he plays similar to me. He's a little bit skinnier than me, but he'll be all right.
