Playboy.com: What hobby or passion outside of sports do you spoil yourself on?
Grossman: I love going on vacation. I love going to Vegas. I love to play blackjack. Blackjack is my game. I love the whole atmosphere there. I also love Clearwater, Florida. It's a relaxing place. Lay by the pool, go to the beach. There's a lot of stuff I want to do but I can't because of my contract. I can't snow ski, I can't water ski and I can't Jet Ski. As far as specific hobbies, I don't hunt and I only go fishing if I'm in Florida. We go out in the Gulf. I like to shoot pool and play a lot of video games.
Playboy.com: What's the most you ever bet on a hand of blackjack?
Grossman: I bet a couple thousand dollars when I got hot. It quickly went south when I started to do that.
Playboy.com: The Bears are one of the few teams in the NFL that don't have cheerleaders. You're a married guy so you don't care -- wink, wink -- but do the single guys on the team ever lobby to try to get a cheerleading squad back?
Grossman: On the road it is definitely noticeable that other teams have them and we don't. I'm sure it would be fun. If I were going to the game -- instead of playing in it -- I would want to have them. As players, we don't really notice that too much. Of course, I can't speak for all the single guys.
Playboy.com: What's on the most played list on your iPod? What was the last concert you went to?
Grossman: I have a variety of things. It's pretty eclectic. From Frank Sinatra to Snoop Dogg. The last concert I went to was Coldplay.
Playboy.com: What about TiVo -- any TV shows you can't miss?
Grossman: We always watch Entourage, The Sopranos and 24. Those are my three favorite shows. I never miss them.
Playboy.com: You mentioned before about video games. What about Madden football? How did they do rating Rex Grossman the player? Did they treat you right?
Grossman: I think they did me pretty well. For not playing very much they gave me an 85 -- a solid "B." Hopefully next year I can boost some of my points and overall ability. For a guy who had only started seven games before this year it was a decent number. No complaints here.
Playboy.com: What's the last movie you saw? Give us Rex Grossman's 30-second movie review.
Grossman: I saw Hostel last week. It was one of those On Demand movies. A lot of boobs in the beginning -- and that was great. Then it took a long time to get into the storyline for the actual gory scenes. I got a little impatient. But then once they got into the gore it was pretty decent. I'd give it a solid 8 out of 10. I don't get to the movies very much during the season, but I can't wait to see Saw III, Borat and The Departed.
Playboy.com: If you had a chance to give some advice to Matt Leinart, Vince Young or any of the other rookie QBs, what would it be?
Grossman: Those guys have enough money never to go into debt. That's the big life thing. Don't get into any elaborate investments. You are already set up for life. If you can afford to invest, do it, but don't take any risks on the financial side. As a player, play your game. You got to the NFL for a specific reason. Play your game and know your limitations and also know your strengths. Stick to that and be as confident as any person in the world about your ability.
