As the Queen of Burlesque takes on undergarments, a look back at her long history with Playboy |
|
It's almost impossible to capture a bad picture of someone as flawless as wasp-waisted Dita Von Teese. Porcelain black hair, baby-soft skin, piercing eyes and the most succulent set of red lips, she's a classic, feminine pinup from head to toe. If you aren't already a fan of 1940s-style burlesque, you will be after you see the Queen of Burlesque perform her famous feather fan dance or bathtub show. With music stars Fergie and Eve, Dita's a spokesperson for MAC cosmetics' Viva Glam line, and now she brings her vintage look to Wonderbra. Her limited-edition collection of 1940s-inspired undergarments mark her as the first celebrity to create a collection with Wonderbra. She's brought sexy Americana back to the mainstream.
As her profile soars, Dita increasingly makes news for her provocative shows and past fetish videos, but no matter how risqué her performance, she makes it all so classy. Playboy has an enduring relationship with Dita. In 2002, she and then-boyfriend Marilyn Manson collaborated for Playboy.com's first-ever Celebrity Guest Photographer shoot. The film that developed was beyond our expectations. Hef loved the photos so much, he put them in the December 2002 issue of Playboy magazine and made Dita the cover girl; one of the photos ranks in our top 10 list of the best photos ever shot for Playboy.com. The world loves Dita. As you can see from the following pictures, the camera loves Dita, too.
