WHO IS SHE?:

Buff bombshell Bobby Jo Moore is best known as the platinum-haired mermaid on Showtime's The Chris Isaak Show who dispenses wisdom to Chris Isaak...in the buff. The oldest of three kids, Bobby Jo is a bona fide farmer's daughter from the secluded prospecting village of Pouce Coupe (translated, Cut Thumb), British Columbia. She fell into acting when she settled in Vancouver after seven years traveling as a horse trader and trainer. When she's not acting as Isaak's underground, underwater oracle, the happily single Vancouver actress now dotes on her horse, her two dogs and her family, all clothed, of course.

WHAT HAS SHE DONE?:

Bobby Jo got a taste of showbiz at the age of 17 with a small role as a troubled teen on the Canadian TV series Neon Rider. She's had parts in Vancouver-based productions such as Showtime's Beggars and Choosers, UPN's cyber crime drama Level Nine and the indie feature Tilt. Most recently, she was Carmen Electra's body double in Scary Movie and a lingerie-clad courier in the Josh Hartnett sex comedy 40 Days and 40 Nights. She's winding up her second season on The Chris Isaak Show, and the series is renewed for a third.

WHY DO WE CARE?:

As Chris' muse Mona, Bobby Jo harkens back to the classic pin-up girls of Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield, only with a hip, cable-TV edge. Unlike so many blindly ambitious ingenues, Bobby Jo uses her acting as a stepping-stone to attain her ultimate goal, which has nothing to do with show business and everything to do with the great outdoors.

Playboy.com: How'd you get a name like Bobby Jo? Are your kin from Appalachia?

Bobby Jo Moore: Actually, the last bit of the Rocky Mountains...mile zero on the Alaska Highway. I grew up on a little farm with chickens and roosters and turkeys and horses and cows. I'm a genuine farmer's daughter. Hillbilly girl. But my name was a combination of my father's name and my grandfather's name. It was almost Roberta Josephine, so I'm very lucky it just turned out to be Bobby Jo.

PB: Before you became an actress, you "imprint-trained" horses. What is that?
