Evidently there are some folks in Ireland who believe the only way to beat Tiger Woods and the US team in this year’s upcoming Ryder Cup golf championship is to mess with Tiger’s head. If you can’t beat the man on the course, find a way to throw him off his game by attacking his family, in this case, his wife, former Swedish model Elin Nordegren.
Why else would Dubliner magazine dredge up a bogus story from a couple of years ago that claimed that Tiger’s wife had posed for nude photographs posted on the internet? Playboy immediately recognized the story then as a hoax because the girl in the photos was Playboy Special Editions model Kim Hiott, not Nordegren, who never wore less than a bikini on any of her modeling jobs.
Tiger’s agent, Mark Steinberg, said he is considering whether a lawsuit is in order. “Everyone knows the nude photo wasn’t of her. It’s plain as day. You can see it’s not factual. It’s kind of ironic they bring it up this week.”
Our guess is that Tiger, already on one of the hottest streaks of his unbelievable golfing career, will only bear down harder. And he was already nearly unbeatable before they made him mad.
