If you spend any time reading blogs (and clearly, if you’re reading this it’s a strong possibility) you might have noticed that a cadre of conservative bloggers have gone on the attack against MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann and some his comments about Fox News (and other subjects) in this month’s Playboy Interview. Keith is a big boy, perfectly capable of defending himself, but it’s worth mentioning—since a few of the memory-impaired bloggers think we're is taking sides—that we’ve featured interviews with Fox News poster boys Bill O’Reilly, Brit Hume and Shepard Smith and that O’Reilly has written for us, as has Fox News correspondent James Rosen. (For that matter, so has Keith Olbermann.)We didn’t censor them and we’re certainly not going to censor Keith. In fact, just think of us as being “fair and balanced.”
It’s not just conservative bloggers, by the way—everyone has been weighing in. Liberal bloggers love Olbermann’s outspokenness and media bloggers are having a field day. (It’s worth Googling just to see the latest attack and defense.) The mainstream media is not far behind. The Washington Post’s media critic Howard Kurtz discussed the interview with CNN’s Headline News’ Glenn Beck, and we hear CNN’s media review show Reliable Sources will be tackling the controversy this weekend. (Yes, CNN is covering what is partly a feud between Fox News and MSNBC. Go figure.)
We just hope Keith is enjoying the attention.

Honesty: it's what Americans don't want for dinner.
It is about time America has SOMEONE in the media tell us that the Emperor not only has no clothes but the policies he has implemented upon us are ruining America. The years after 9/11 had pathetic journalists copy and paste press releases and called them reports. As George Carlin said the first 35 minutes or so of Countdown with KO are the best 35 minutes of NEWS on TV period. He and Amy Goodman on DemocracyNow! are truly priceless in bringing us news about Blackwater and the loss of Habeas Corpus and the realities of how Reaganomics/VooDoo economics/Bushinomics helped the top 1% wonderfully at the expense of the 99% and the need for impeachment of Bush and Cheney. Search for "Articles of Impeachment Bush" to see the details which are too numerous to name here. If you watch FOX News you do not see Iraq anymore nor do you see how the rising prices we have seen lately have hurt Americans nor do you see anything that would need improvement in America. To be a good American is to realize that America is to seek its constant improvement and to realize that once freedom is taken as history shows us it is almost never regained. Thank you for the truth Olbermann! Keep showing FOX News for what they are, water carriers for the NeoCons...not Republicans...NeoCons.
And oh by the way...Laissez Faire anti regulation groups brought us the recent housing crunch as the banks loaned 10 times past the 10 times amount of capital they could legally lend. And this is the tip of the iceberg. Captain...iceberg dead ahead! Uh captain...hello?
