It looks like our intern Nicole DeLuca has been listening to her iPod at her desk again:
Not all Jersey music is Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen. When it comes to the local scene, contemporary punk bands define who people are and what they listen to. I want to open up a new door for some Playboy readers who appreciate the art of music. Plus, everyone has a little bit of rock 'n' roll in them! So here's my four favorite bands from the Jersey scene:
Houston Calls
Tell Me Tell You (pictured)
Lady Radiator
The genre for each band is basically rock, power-pop, pop punk, and experimental. From up-tempo “makes you want to dance” tracks to songs with catchy lyrics and awesome breakdowns, these bands will keep you on your feet. Here’s a list of my favorite songs:
1) Houston Calls – "Bob and Bonnie"
2) Tell Me Tell You - "Lights Camera Action"
3) Aspen It Is – "Blue Arm of the Black"
4) Lady Radiator – "Ready Explode"
You can check these bands out by using the links above to get more information as to where you can see these guys play and find out whom the men behind the music really are. So, do yourself a favor and listen to their songs. At least you will have something interesting to talk about with your lady besides “What position do you want to try tonight?”

oh that is just great!!
jersey bands are amazing i must say i love tell me tell you=)
I'm pretty sure Tell Me Tell you has not written a single original song. It's sad they are your top four bands when there are so many better bands in New Jersey.
I was grooving on this post until that last line.
Psst... There be chicks reading this blog. Also, who you calling a lady?
I love Tell Me Tell You they are a new band who has been quickly noticed for a good reason, I mean with in like months of being together they were put on a huge tour! New Songs are on the way and i can not wait so those of you who are dissing them you are seriously mistaken, get your ears checked!
Houston Calls throws the best parties in north jersey. hands down, kicks ass.
tell me tell you is a sorry excuse for a band. they havent made one original song. they lied and cheated their way to the top. i just pray that kharma gives them what they deserve. they dont deserve this blog entry.
