The BBC ran down a list of the 100 most fascinating things they learned last year.
Though many facts on the list are too British for a red-blooded American to appreciate, there are some interesting nuggets that you may have missed if you don’t regularly read UK papers. Here are five that I found intriguing:

George Clooney and Pierce Brosnan have had Bell's Palsy - a nerve condition that can result in paralysis on one side of the face.
IP addresses will run out in 2010.
King Tut had buck teeth.
Saddam Hussein's codename while in US custody in 2004/5 was "Victor."
