I don’t need a coffee-table book of naked women to find my favorite – it’s always been Cynthia Myers, who appeared in the December 1968 issue under the headline “Holy Toledo!” (The issue is particularly collectible because it’s almost impossible to find one that hasn’t been repeatedly opened, causing the staples to separate from the paper.) Her Centerfold probably got posted on more walls in Vietnam than any other and inspired countless young men to work hard to get home. In Steve Sullivan’s Bombshells, Cynthia recounts her reaction to seeing her Centerfold for the first time: "I didn't realize my breasts were that big! I'd never seen them from that angle. Wow! My three favorite Playmates of all time are, in chronological order: Miss January 1983 Lonny Chin; Miss August 1989 Gianna Amore; and Miss December 1997 Karen McDougal. Why them? I don't know. Lots of extremely beautiful women are featured as Playmates, of course, but these three I place, um, breasts and shoulders above the rest.
God Love Playboy for otherwise I wouldn't have known these kinds of women existed.
My best friend bought me an autographed picture back of Cynthia from GlamourCon and he even helped this beautiful sweet woman up a tricky flight of stairs. Ebert was right, Hollywood missed out a huge opportunity to cast her in more roles after Russ Meyer's "Beyond The Valley of The Dolls" in which she did some great acting.
Why Hollywood can't seem to cast anyone naturally endowed over a small C cup in the brightest roles is beyond me.

She has always been my favourite. Part of it was her 39-24-36 figure; but only part of it. Her face, her personality, her acting, her decency. I am afraid that for her and for quite a few Playmates, centerfold status brought with it a glass ceiling. She should have gotten more parts in movies. She should have been aboard the USS Enterprise; I am sure that Shatner would have appreciated it.
