You probably already saw the videos we shot of Cyber Girl of the Year Jo Garcia testing out the Wii Fit. If not, we highly recommend them. But Jo's also an avid gamer who will be doing more video game coverage for Playboy.com in the future. We got so distracted just watching Jo hula hoop that we didn't ask for her review of Wii Fit on video. But so many guys wrote in to ask about her thoughts on the game, we asked Jo to write up a quick blog on her experience. Here's her take:

The Wii Fit was a lot better than I thought it was going to be, and honestly, a lot harder than I was expecting. The Wii balance board is a sophisticated piece of machinery, and I was expecting there to be an extreme delay in its reaction timing.  Let's start with the yoga.  I saw the preview DVD for Wii Fit yoga before it came out and I thought, there is no way it could truly tell where your center of gravity is when you are on the balance board.  We put it to the test and had one of our office guys set up a profile using his weight.

Then I got on the balance board to play later and it said that I had lost a bunch of weight, which was good to know. The board calculates position and distribution of weight better than any typical digital scales. When I got the board to do the tree position in yoga, it knew my center of gravity, because it calculates it when you calibrate the board when first setting up your profile. Then when you're doing the position, you try and keep your center in the yellow spot on the screen. I threw myself a little off balance to see how accurate it was, and then I went and tried to center myself and it was interesting how close I was to being almost centered.

I can see that the more time I spend doing yoga using the Wii balance board, the better my balance will become. I also believe that it will help me build up my core muscles, because trying to stay within the yellow circle keeps you distracted enough that you don't even realize that you are working out. But I definitely felt it the next day.

As for the aerobic games like hula hooping, I found those to be a workout. You know how you feel after going to the gym after not having gone in a while and your muscles hurt? I got a similar burn the morning after working out with the Wii Fit, and I normally do work out. But those aerobic workouts like the hula hooping make you work muscles you normal wouldn't work out in a gym. It's crazy- I think I got more of an ab workout doing the hula than I do doing crunches. As for the sports games, those are a lot of fun and are good for balance, but I don't really think they work much out.

The board is extremely sensitive when you are skiing and snowboarding, so don't over-correct, because the Wii Mii will over-correct, and you will fly into a tree and miss the run. The strength training kicked my butt a couple days ago when I tried it out at a Wii party, and all I could think about is that I wanted to do more. Overall, I think that the Wii Fit has a great thing going for it and I can't wait for more games to come out that use the balance board.
