Intern Lindsay Silberman discovers there are, in fact, jobs stranger than her own...
Now that the weather has started to heat up, TV networks can’t help but put their own spin on specials about the new “hot” things for summer. Last night I indulged in one such show. While I must admit I’m guilty of watching repeats of E!’s 101 Incredible Celebrity Slimdowns and 20 Juiciest Hollywood Hookups, the program I caught last night was definitely a first. Aptly titled 12 Sexiest Wet and Wild Jobs, the show spotlighted just that: outrageous and real jobs that are sure to heat things up. A few of the countdown’s standouts:
#11- The Tan Ambassadors at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas: Believe it or not, these girls get paid to ensure your UV protection. Armed with “utility belts” that contain oils, aloe, and lotion of varying SPFs, these bikini-clad babes strut their stuff poolside, applying tanning products to sunbathers.
#8- Hawaiian Tropic Zone’s Hot Tub Girls: Leave it to Hawaiian Tropic Zone on the Vegas Strip to come up with another unique way to drum up business – they conveniently placed a Jacuzzi tub right outside of the entrance, and pay attractive women $20/hour to splash around in Perfect Tan Bikinis (creating the illusion that they are topless), squirting unsuspecting tourists with water guns.
#3- Bikini Cuts: “The salon where it’s summer all year.” A hair salon located in Salt Lake City where men can have their hair cut by beautiful women in bikinis. Just $30 will get you a shampoo, trim, style, rinse, scalp massage, and hand massage. Hey – get a manicure and pedicure while you’re at it. No one’s about to question your masculinity here.
