Britt Linn was Playboy’s Miss March 2014. Originally from small-town Wantage, New Jersey, it's hard to imagine this tall, sometimes-mohawked redhead as anything other than a model. But she went from wearing hospital scrubs to designer duds on the runway. “I’m a certified surgical technologist,” she told Playboy. “I’ve done it all, from assisting in brain surgery to delivering babies. I’ve even held a live, beating heart in my hands.”
Britt’s modeling career took off after she shaved her head in honor of her mother, who fell ill. “She never wore wigs; she just showed off her beautiful bald head, so I thought I’d shave my head, too,” Britt told Busted Coverage. “I love my short hair. I think it’s helped me stand out.”
In September 2013 she was scouted by RED Model Management on Facebook. She made her way to New York City and wound up strutting down Fifth Avenue, shutters clicking in her wake. “I’m versatile,” she said. “I’m tall, not that thin, and a little too edgy for commercial work, but I’ve done everything from high fashion to catalogue. I want to make sure I live and discover new aspects of myself every day." Her willingness to leap at opportunities led her to contact photographer Josh Ryan. She was following Ryan on Instagram and saw that he was casting for Playmates. “I thought it was high time for a short-haired Playmate, so I left a comment, and he asked me to come in for a test shoot,” she said. Britt landed the centerfold in the March 2014 issue. "I think it's beautiful when a woman is confident in her own skin," she said. "I thought it would be cool to be slender enough for high fashion and curvy enough for Playboy."
Thanks to her rural roots, Britt is an adept hunter and can turn a deer to venison with the best of them. “Well, first you’ve got to shoot it,” she said. “Then you skin it, and then you can cut it. You’ve got to be really careful – if you puncture the organs, it ruins the meat – so be delicate.” When she's not in front of the camera, Britt Linn hangs out with her friends. She counts a good sense of humor, Jack Daniel's and her dog among her favorite things. “If I can’t laugh and be silly with a guy, it won’t last long,” she told Playboy.
