Playboy’s Miss June 1997 Carrie Stevens has done a little bit of everything during her exciting life. She grew up in the small town of Hardwick, Massachusetts. After graduating from high school she studied journalism at Memphis State University.
Before appearing in Playboy Carrie dated KISS drummer Eric Carr. She met him while living in Memphis. After attending the band’s Crazy Nights concert, she overheard him talking with the crew about seeing a show at a nearby bar and offered to give them a lift. Despite a 19-year age gap between the two, they began a relationship. She said he pushed her to pursue her dreams, which led her to take acting classes and try her hand at modeling. In February 1991 Carr was diagnosed with heart cancer and passed away in November. She said Eric “was my king, my world. I really looked up to him, and learned from him.”
Carrie found work on several television shows and movies before becoming Miss June 1997. She appeared in an episode of Days of Our Lives, Weird Science and Beverly Hills 90210. She continued acting after her Playmate pictorial as well. She had a supporting role in the film Rock Star with Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston. She also appeared on an episode of the popular TV show Two and a Half Men. In recent years she’s starred in a handful of smaller, independent films. She’s also hosted shows on E! Entertainment Television.
Besides acting and modeling, one of Carrie’s passions is cooking. She’s even turned her hobby into a business. Carrie used her Playmate status to start Centerfold Chefs, a catering business located in Los Angeles. One of her signature recipes is her fudge, which she sells online at www.infamousfudge.com. She published a series of columns and recipes for Hot Moms Club. In 2013 she beat 40,000 chefs to reach the 100 finalists on MasterChef.
In 2009 Carrie launched her own lifestyle magazine, which focused on promoting eco-friendly habits and products to help achieve a green lifestyle. Growing up in a small town in Massachusetts, Carrie’s family grew their own fruits and vegetables. They even milked goats to make their own cheese. She featured several former Playmates in the magazine including Angel Boris, Daphnee Duplaix, Vanessa Gleason, Nicole Narain, and more.
In addition to Playboy, Carrie has appeared in a number of other magazines and advertisements including Cosmopolitan, Glamour and Allure.
